This past weekend we celebrated 80 years of the Vidovdan Serbian Festival in Niagara Falls, Canada.

The Vidovdan Gathering, better known among the people as Serbian Day, is not only an opportunity but also a sacred duty to come together in great numbers and pay tribute and remembrance to all our ancestors who gave their lives for the defense and preservation of our spiritual and cultural heritage—from the Battle of Kosovo to the present day, says Zoran Cvijetić, President of the Serbian National Defense Council of Canada.

HAMILTON – On behalf of the Serbian National Defense and in my own name, I extend my heartfelt greetings for the greatest Christian holiday – the Resurrection of the Son of God, Jesus Christ – to His Holiness Serbian Patriarch Porfirije, the Royal House of Karađorđević, the monarchy and clergy of our Holy Church, to the members of the Serbian National Defense around the world, and to all Serbs – men and women – in the Homeland and the Diaspora.

At the Serbian estate of the Holy Trinity in Bimbrook, on February 23, 2025, the Serbian National Defense in Canada celebrated its baptismal feast, Saint Simeon the Myrrh-Bearer. The host of the feast was Brother Zoran Živanović, a member of the Ravna Gora branch from Hamilton.

"On behalf of the SNO in Canada and on my own behalf, I sincerely congratulate you on the Day of Republika Srpska, with best wishes for good health, happiness and every progress," the greeting states.
